41 Lob Haircut Ideas for Women

I have always wanted to rock shorter hair.  I have a few girlfriends who are able to rock the super short hair like the pixie crop.  I am not quite ready to pull that off.  However, I do like the idea of letting my neck show and look a bit longer.  I feel like when I see girls with longer necks, they look more confident and have a stronger presence.  But since I am not quite ready to go super short, I have been considering a Lob.  Most of you know what a Lob is, but for those that don’t, it’s a word smash of ‘Long’ and ‘Bob’.  I started seeing some celebrities rocking it and wasn’t sure what to call it so I hopped online and started looking around and figured out this is a super hot trend right now.

Like other hair styles, I think that there are a lot of ways to make the Lob work for you.  I personally have a few that I am super excited about and threw them into this list of Lob’s that I think you are really going to like.  I also learned that the Lob is great because you can get rid of burned or fried ends that you have destroyed with chemicals or styling tools without chopping it all off.  This gives your hair a healthier look.  I personally have hit my hair with so many colors and chemicals over the last three years that I am ready to get rid of my stringy and thin ends and get back to a healthier, thicker hairstyle.  Just a heads up, I think mixing a balayage with the Lob is an amazing idea, and something I am going to try this year.  I am also going to try doing the Lob and then turning it into a beachy waves sort of look. I think it will go well with summer looks and like summer and fall dresses.

Momtastic brings up a good point in this tutorial.  She talks about how it’s a super low maintenance style that you don’t have to do a lot to, in order to get it to perform how you like.  She also goes through step by step exactly how your stylist should pull this one off and includes a list of products that she uses while she does it.  I thought it was incredibly helpful to give me a foundation knowledge of how a Lob is made and the idea behind it.
