37 Chevron Nail Art Ideas
I love finding chevron nail art ideas because they’re just so classy and can be for summer, spring, fall, winter, any season or holiday like Valentines, Halloween, or Christmas all by changing the colors. You can also use it as a base and have little designs like hearts or flowers to fit the time of year better. If you’re DIY advanced, you can probably even do ombre chevron on every finger rather than just that accent ring finger. No matter your expertise, you can be a beginner straight out a wedding womb (maybe not literally) to do these cute, easy nail designs.
If you prefer going to the salon and getting your long, acrylic nails into a professional stiletto or coffin shape, do it. You can take it home and do these yourself or ask them to do it for you. You can even try to do higher quality nails at home with gel nail polish, or just DIY your own matte colour. There’s so many funky things you can do with nails that it even expands into a single print. You can have chevron french nails, chevron with rhinestones or glitter, or even red, orange and brown autumn chevron for the pumpkin patch. With this list in my post, you’ll find a chevron print for toes and nails for about every occasion, even a trip to Disney for your kids.
1. Pink White Ring Finger Nail Art with Glitter
I love this pastel chevron nail design. I would be great for spring or the Easter holiday season for you or your kids. Match! I love the extra detailing with the silver glitter all on the ring finger. The whole design is sweet, simple, and so subtle.
2. Cute Chevron Design Hack
The stripes on this chevron nail art were so thin, I had to know what she used. She used a stamping tool or polish that came together I believe. But you can DIY this slightly better with thin strips of tape or a thin nail brush.
3. Short DIY Funky Red Nails
These red nails are so sexy. I love how they used the accent color on most of the fingers except the, of course, ring finger, and middle finger. I thought she had used a sticker but she hand painted that herself! Just use thin brushes or do it on acrylic nails and place them on after.
4. Canadian Holiday Nail Ideas
If you’re Canadian or going to Canada, these nails might be fun inspiration for a national holiday or a vacation. Although if you’re going there for a trip, you may want to just do something similar to not seem so much like a tourist. You can use the rectangle nails and color for a poker night nail look.
5. Simple Print Video Tutorial – For Toes
Another cute spring, pastel look, but this uses chevron as the base and uses cute little designs to give it a new look. I like the animal print and I like how much easier it actually is to do and look good. Just make two little lines in a circle shape and let the brush decide the widths. It looks more natural (or wild?) that way.
6. For Christmas or Summer – Nail Tricks for Beginners
Tropical leaves are very in for 2017 and I’m sure these next few years. She used nail decals to get the leaves and chron so perfect. On decals, you can even get a base print?! I need to look more into these nifty DIY tools.
7. Negative Space Ring Finger Chevron – Wedding or Prom
Negative space, the no polish space, is so pretty with chevron nails, especially when it’s only a few of the stripes. But this design adds a metallic gold border around that hole in the polish which really makes those nails really pop. The hot pink polish also helps make this great for a bright summer under the sun.
8. Easy Gel Nails
I wish this was a step by step guide because it is so cool. I’ll give you quick and easy directions here now. Paint the bottom coat with the color and or glitter you’d like. Depending on which print you want on each nail, replicate it from these pictures with a thin brush and the color you want. If you don’t have nail polish, use acrylic paint but make sure to seal it: nail hack. On the accent nails, typically middle and ring finger, paint a straight line down the center and replicate the black stripes or however you want.
9. Pinterest Manicure Design Tip with Tape
Here’s a simple tutorial on how to do the basic chevron nail. The easiest part is painting your base color whether it’s white, blue, pink, purple, whatever. Then just cut strips of tape in a chevron shape and place on your nails. Make sure they’re not too big and paint over them.
10. Spring Chevron DIY for Kids
I’ve never thought of yellow and gray as an aesthetically pleasing colour combination but I like it. I think it’ll be good for winter, even though yellow is pastel and usually spring. I think the gray tones down the scheme too much for spring, but it’s your life. Use this year round! This is another simple design with a single chevron attention nail.
11. Negative Space Chevron Manicure with Cute Flowers : Perfect for Spring
This beauty blogger used my two favorite nail trends in this chevron look: negative space and flowers. These flowers are perfect and I think they’re nail stickers. I forgot those existed. I haven’t used one since I was a kid.
