1. Korean Makeup Tutorial (Bahasa w/Eng subs)
Youtube: Titan Tyra
This simple tutorial is a great one for beginners. Get started with your foundation and nail that puppy dog look. She is super detailed and thorough and the English subtitles help me out a ton. The cool thing about this tutorial is that she takes a lot of time to explain how to do each step, from the lipliner to the foundation, to the way that she uses a curling iron for her hair. You can literally follow along step by step and pull this look off.
2. Easy Korean Makeup Tutorial – Daily Make Up
Youtube: Baby Le bonbon
Looking for an everyday Korean makeup style? Youtuber Baby Le Bonbon has you covered. This simple look works great for work or just for going out. When I first started looking into Korean Makeup, I wasn’t sure what it was all about and how the look would work for me, but after a bunch of research, I started to get really excited about the look and how I could pull it off myself. The style is very unique and uses traditional makeup tools and techniques in new ways that I needed a lot of instruction in. This was another great tutorial that I thought was worth sharing.
3. Natural Korean Everyday Makeup Tutorial
Youtube: Giwon Kate
Giwon Kate gives us all the steps we need to copy her look. As you can see from the image, she uses video and text to walk us through each step. She does something that I do a lot, which is start with my T zone and make sure that the color I want to achieve is right on it and then blend out from there.
4. Korean Daily Makeup Tutorial
Youtube: Baby Le bonbon
When you watch her transformation from the beginning of this tutorial to the end, it’s absolutely incredible. She does a great job of using foundation to get that sort of pale/white skin that is famous in the Korean makeup style. She makes her lips pop with a sharp red that she contours with light and dark.
5. Korean Edgy Feminine Look
Youtube: Giwon Kate
Giwon Kate comes through again with a different take on Korean makeup with a tutorial that shows us how to be a bit less traditional with the look and do something a bit edgier. This video is step by step and is super easy to follow along!
6. Korean Gradient Lips
Lips don’t have to be just one color. This sweet gradient lips tutorial is a great easy way to spice up your lip game. You’ll notice with Korean makeup that the lips are always so sexy. They are a contrast of red and pink and just look so raw and emotive. I love the look and have definitely stolen it and used it for raves and weekend parties.
7. Tutorial Makeup Korea Style
Youtube: Isteri Idaman
For a paler look that works great for winter, check out this tutorial by Youtuber Isteri Idaman. The SNSD movement is huge on twitter and online and it seems like it’s mostly really wealthy Asian women looking fabulous and perfect and I want in!
8. Cat Eyes
If you have a monolid, the cat eye look is even more attractive than on Western eyelids. I love this look and this image because if you mix the smokey eyeliner with the cat eye, it just catches everyone’s eye. I have definitely used this look in the last few weeks just experimenting with it and have found that if I do a nude lipstick with it, it draws a ton of attention to my eyes.
9. Puppy Eyes Tutorial
